Sciatica is the body’s largest nerve and provides sensory and motor function ability for the legs. Recommendations to reduce sciatica pain during pregnancy
- Apply a heat or ice pack to the sore spot by placing a cloth or cloth over your skin. Changing heat and cold can help reduce pain.
- Stay as active as possible, as this will help you recover. There is no harm in feeling a little pain when trying to do your normal activities.
- Monitor your posture and try to keep your back slightly arched. While sitting, put a small pillow or rolled towel behind your back to support your spine.
- Try not to lift anything heavy. If you need to lift something, bend your knees and keep your back straight. Keep the object you lift close to your body.
- Listen to your body and stop doing what makes your pain even more severe.
- Try not to stay still for long periods of time. Staying in bed for a long time will not help you much.
- Put a pillow between your knees while lying towards one side.
- As shaking the spine can increase your pain, you can try wearing soft shoes.
