Pay attention to the differences between coronavirus and flu, cold and allergy!
Flu, catarrh, allergy, and coronavirus (Kovid-19) cause similar findings, but experts reiterate that new types of coronavirus assessment should be made in case of high fever, dry cough and shortness of breath.
Prof. Faculty of Medicine Faculty of Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Esin Şenol gave information about the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19), which is seen worldwide, causing thousands of deaths, and other common upper respiratory diseases.
Pointing out that Kovid-19 was still seen as a season when cold weather prevailed, Şenol reminded that there is a group of diseases that follow with fever, sore throat, stuffy nose and cough in winter.
Şenol emphasized that flu, cold, allergy and new type of coronavirus should not be confused with such upper respiratory diseases. “High fever, cold, other than allergy, come in and is seen in Kovid-19. it is common in colds and flu, “he said.
Pointing out that at least one of the complaints of fever, cough, and shortness of breath should be sought in people who will be asked to perform a diagnostic test when Kovid-19 is suspected, Şenol gave the following information about the diseases:
“GRIP AND KOVID-19 SYMPTOMS ARE DIFFICULT TO SEPARATE FROM EACH”
“Allergy does not start suddenly, the signs and symptoms are long-lasting. There is no fever in the allergy, there is a cough. Sneezing, wheezing, redness and itching are observed in the allergy. Likewise, cold sneezing, wheezing, redness in the eyes, itching is encountered. The most important symptom of the cold is severe. This finding is not found in other diseases, it is the most important findings suggesting fever and cough in terms of flu. Grip and Kovid-19 symptoms are difficult to distinguish from each other. While respiratory distress (shortness of breath) does not occur in the flu, Kovid-19 is the most important point, despite the signs and symptoms most commonly associated with the flu, Kovid-19 is definitely not flu. ”
